Name: My name is Montserrat, but everyone calls me Montse or Mon.
Place of birth: Barcelona, but from the age of two until I was twenty-nine I lived in Madrid and Guadalajara, in Castilla, Spain.
Studies: I graduated in Spanish and Latin American Studies in 2002. Since 2003 I have been a qualified Spanish teacher and I have two Master's degrees in foreign language teaching. I am also a DELE examiner accredited by the Instituto Cervantes for levels A1 to C2.
In 2019, after working in some of the best Spanish schools in Barcelona, I decided to start my solo adventure , and that's how ‘Spanish tea’ began.

In my view, a language is much more than its grammar. There are lots of apps for learning Spanish and some of them are very useful. However, human interaction is, in my view, much more enriching. When you have a teacher, you can connect much more closely with a language, understanding not only how people speak it, but why. For me, a language is much more than its grammar and vocabulary. In my opinion, idiomatic expressions, colloquialisms and slang - even swear words - are also very important. You don't really know a language until you know how to use them correctly.
